Over 50 participants gathered for an exclusive session exploring the opportunities of living, investing and building a long-term future in Malaysia through the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Programme, held at the Centerpoint Hotel, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Organised by PWM and presented by Puan Norazlin Haji Abdul Jalil of Optimal Home Malaysia, the session offered insightful perspectives into one of Malaysia’s most established residency initiatives. The programme is designed for individuals and families seeking a higher quality of life, attractive investment prospects and flexible long-term relocation options.

The session was officiated by His Excellency Datuk Mohd Aini Atan, High Commissioner of Malaysia in Brunei Darussalam, reflecting ongoing efforts to deepen awareness and strengthen understanding of Malaysia’s lifestyle advantages, economic potential and growing appeal as a preferred destination for international residents.

Participants were introduced to a comprehensive overview of the MM2H Programme, covering key areas such as relocation planning, property investment, healthcare, education, business opportunities, lifestyle benefits and the broader advantages of establishing Malaysia as a second home.

In her presentation, Puan Norazlin emphasised Malaysia’s continued appeal to international residents, driven by its modern infrastructure, diverse cultural landscape, world-class amenities, strategic ASEAN location and competitive cost of living. “Malaysia offers more than just a place to stay. It provides an environment where families can build a meaningful future, enjoy a comfortable lifestyle, explore business possibilities and experience the richness of Malaysian culture,” she said.

The programme also included practical discussions on the MM2H application process, relocation planning, property selection and the range of opportunities available to retirees, entrepreneurs, families and working professionals.

PWM President Azlan Ahmad noted that the initiative aims to enhance awareness within the Brunei community about Malaysia’s strong positioning as a lifestyle and investment destination. “Many Bruneians and residents here maintain close cultural, family and business ties with Malaysia. Through this platform, we aim to provide accurate information and connect interested individuals with experienced industry experts who can guide them through the MM2H journey,” he said.

The event drew a diverse group of attendees, including professionals, business owners, retirees and families from various communities in Brunei. Representatives from the Federation of Malay Entrepreneurs Brunei (PPPMB), Women Business Council (WBC), and Brunei Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DPPMB) also participated in the session.

Malaysia continues to strengthen its appeal among international communities seeking a balanced lifestyle – blending modern urban living, natural beauty, strong connectivity, quality healthcare, education opportunities and a welcoming multicultural environment.

The Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Programme remains a key gateway for eligible participants to experience the many advantages of living, investing, and thriving in Malaysia.
