PWM recently hosted a heartfelt farewell dinner in honour of former President, James Lee, who will be leaving Brunei Darussalam to begin his retirement journey. The dinner gathering was held at Venda Restaurant and was attended by several executive committee members and close associates of the association.

President James served as the 4th President of PWM from 2013 to 2019 and was recognised for his dedication, leadership and contributions towards strengthening the Malaysian community in Brunei Darussalam throughout his tenure. Under his leadership, PWM successfully carried out numerous community, welfare and social initiatives that benefited members and fostered stronger ties among the Malaysian diaspora.

As a mark of appreciation for his years of service and commitment, current PWM President Azlan Ahmad presented the Outstanding Service Award to President James during the dinner ceremony. In his speech, President Azlan expressed gratitude on behalf of the association for James Lee’s invaluable contributions and unwavering support towards PWM over the years. He also conveyed best wishes for James Lee’s retirement and future endeavours.

The evening was filled with warm fellowship, shared memories and appreciation as attendees took the opportunity to honour and celebrate James Lee’s legacy and service to the association.
