The PWM Muhibbah Deepavali Celebration 2025 brought together over 100 members and friends to celebrate the Festival of Lights in the true spirit of friendship and harmony. The gatherings play an important role in strengthening people-to-people ties between members, the Malaysian High Commission and the local community, while preserving Malaysia’s rich cultural traditions abroad.
The event was graced by Tuan Abdul Munir Lutfi, Deputy High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam. The evening unfolded with a meaningful sequence of activities – beginning with a light-up ceremony and the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by cultural performances by members, best-dressed awards and lucky draw. This thoughtful blend of spiritual reflection, cultural expression and family-friendly entertainment showcased the association’s commitment to keeping Malaysian celebrations alive in Brunei, while being respectful of the local context.
Organising Chairman Mr. Sumaran Nair expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all sponsors and supporters whose contributions made the dinner a great success.
