PWM hosted “Think Pink” at the Malaysian High Commission in Bandar Seri Begawan to raise awareness of breast cancer and women’s mental health. The event was graced by Guest of Honour, YBhg. Datin Zaeidah Mohamed Esa, Chairlady of Perwakilan, whose presence underscored the importance of community collaboration in promoting women’s well-being. The morning began with a vibrant Zumba session led by Elevate Nation Fitness & Health Studio, setting an energetic and positive tone for the programme. This was followed by Hajah Norajleen Uminatul Hafizan Binti Haji Alimas, from Clarity Brunei who is also a Counselor & Mental Health Coach, Brunei Darussalam specializing in marriage and family counselling, who addressed women’s mental health issues that are often overlooked. Her session provided guidance on recognizing early symptoms, seeking help, and navigating available local support systems. Dr. Amalinda PD Hj Suyoi, Breast Surgeon at Jerudong Park Medical Centre, delivered an informative talk on breast health, emphasizing the importance of early detection and regular screening. She outlined practical steps for self-examination, age-appropriate screening procedures, and encouraged women to seek timely medical advice. The session concluded with interactive Q&A discussions, allowing participants to gain deeper insights into breast health, emotional well-being, and available support resources. The event drew over 50 participants and featured eight vendors, including GoodLife Financial Planning Sdn Bhd, Kare Clinic, Zehra Beauty Care Salon, Dermaline Beauty Therapy Sdn Bhd, Springhill Farmers Market, Life Nutrics, YingYang Café, and Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam.
