Our History

In early 1992, a group of Malaysians formed the Jawatankuasa Warganegara Malaysia (JKWM) under the patronage of His Excellency Dato’ Mustaffa Mohammad with the aim of organizing social events for Malaysians working and residing in Brunei.

By October 1996, Persatuan Warganegara Malaysia also known as Malaysian Association was registered with the Registrar of Societies, Brunei Darussalam. And the association has gained from strength to strength since then.
